A SOIL FRIENDLY PLATFORM FOR VINEYARD APPLICATIONS
The goal of the research will be the development of a control strategy of tracked agricultural mobile platforms, which effectively avoids negative affects on the soil condition of vineyard, mainly taking into consideration the modeling of the dynamics of the mobile robot platform, the modeling of the tire-soil interaction and its aftereffect of soil compaction, the modeling of soil condition focused on the moisture content, oxygen content, etc.. A simulation scheme will be developed to study the effectiveness of the control method and experimental results will be collected on an instrumented platform.
